AGILE OPPORTUNITIES TO UPSKILL AND RESKILL
MicroCreds are small, accredited courses designed to meet the demands of learners, enterprise and organisations, created by Irish Universities Association (IUA) partner universities in consultation with enterprise. MicroCreds provide highly flexible and approachable learning opportunities to upskill and reskill for both the company and learner.
Our MicroCreds are research-led, and are quality assured by leading Irish universities. Learners may choose to undertake an individual micro-credential or continue studying, stacking their skills and knowledge over time.
What Employers Say About Micro-credentials?
BENEFITS FOR TEAMS
WHAT ARE MICRO-CREDENTIALS?
Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL)
Employees develop valuable knowledge and skills through their work, professional training, and previous study. Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL) is a process that allows this existing learning to be recognised by higher education institutions.
RPL can support employees in accessing micro-credentials by recognising the skills and experience they already have. This can make it easier for staff to begin a course of study or continue with their learning journey without repeating knowledge they have already gained.
Employers may also wish to engage directly with universities to explore RPL opportunities for groups of employees who share similar experience or training. This can support workforce development and create flexible pathways into higher education for upskilling and reskilling purposes.
If you are interested in learning more about RPL or exploring opportunities with higher education providers, visit priorlearning.ie for further information.
